j. awan Capital (the “Firm”) is a limited liability company established in accordance with the companies regulations of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with Commercial Registration Number 7002188105, operating under an Advising license from the Capital Market Authority No. 22242-20 issued on 11 / 05 / 2022. The company will conduct its activities after obtaining the commencement of business.
The direct controller of the Firm is Awan Holdings LTD, a limited liability company established under the laws of Abu Dhabi Global Market in the United Arab Emirates.
Paid Up Capital
The Firm has paid up capital in the amount of 768,000 SAR.
The Firm provides the following services to its customers under its Capital Market Authority license:
- Advising on the merits of dealing in securities business
- Exercising any right to deal conferred or financial planning, and
- Wealth management.
Senior Management
Jehanzeb Awan – Chief Executive Officer
Jehanzeb Awan is a seasoned financial services professional with over 23 years’ experience in the US and GCC markets. Jehanzeb has advised clients on a wide range of initiatives, regulatory issues and multi-billion-dollar transactions in the Middle East & North Africa, US, Europe and Asia.
Jehanzeb is responsible for overall business development for the firm. He is also the Chief Client Officer responsible for managing key regulatory and client relationships.
Jehanzeb is currently advising several large international, regional and UAE institutions on regulatory strategy and risk management matters. He has longstanding relationships with the key regulators in the region and frequently advises on matters of regulatory policy.
Jehanzeb graduated with a BSC and received a Magna Cum Laude from the University of Arizona.
Aamir Sarwar – Advisory and Finance Manager
Aamir has over 15 years of experience working in the financial services sector in the Middle East. He is a Fellow Member of ACCA – UK along with Financial Risk Manager (FRM) designation holder from GARP – USA.
Prior to joining the Firm, Aamir was supporting the accounting and finance function of UAE based broker dealer. He currently holds CFA level II certification and is currently advising clients on financial strategy and regulatory risk management.
Aamir holds a Bachelor of Commerce (B.COM) & Master of Arts (MA – Economics) degrees from the University of Karachi
Mohammed AlJassim – Associate Director Compliance and AML
Mohammed is the Associate Director Compliance and AML of the Firm. Mohammed has over 9 years of experience working in Saudi Arabia’s Investment, Insurance and Telecommunications industries.
Mohammed began his career in financial services working within the Asset Management Operations team at HSBC Saudi Arabia. He then worked in the Firms Compliance department where he progressed to the role of Regulatory Compliance Officer.
Mohammed has completed the CME 1, CME 2, CCP, CAMS and CMA advanced certificates in compliance and AML. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University and a First class Honors Diploma of Accounting from the Institute of Public Administration Saudi Arabia. He also had International Diploma in Governance, Risk and Compliance from ICA, and Diploma in Compliance, AML & Financial Crime from Henley Business School.

Complaints
All complaints must be in writing to the Compliance Officer at [email protected] who will notify the customer that the complaint has been received and the Firm’s procedures for reviewing the complaint.
The Firm will endeavour to resolve complaints within 60 days of receipt. Within 30 days of receiving a complaint, the customer will be sent either:
- a final response letter, explaining how the Firm intends to resolve the complaint; or
- a holding response letter, advising that the matter is still under investigation.
If the complaint is not resolved within 30 days of receipt, then within 60 days of receiving the complaint, the customer will be sent either:
- a final response letter; or
- a further holding response letter, explaining why the matter is still under review with an anticipated timeframe for resolution.
Upon conclusion of the complaint, the Firm will promptly:
- advise the complainant in writing of the resolution of the complaint;
- provide the complainant with clear terms of redress, if applicable; and
- comply with the terms of redress if accepted by the complainant.
